ABOUT THE AUTHORJune Marie Saxton is a nutritional consultant and owner of Bear Necessities of Montpelier, a nutritional clinic in Montpelier, Idaho. She enjoys all aspects of health and positive living. She and her husband Mike also own Saxton Ranch, celebrating the continuing legacy of rural living; the lifeblood of the west.
Her time is best spent in support of her family and their many activities. In her not-so-spare time she enjoys writing and has authored many books: Dancing with the Moon, Beckon, Into the Second Springtime, Pirate Moon, Emerald Fire, Ball Baby, Veil of Azure Sequins, Mach 16, Diamonds of the Quarter, Improper Son, Haley at the Hop, Tolliver, Perfectly Pepper, The Doctor of Devonshire, Rose of Ravenswood, Saylor, Roxy, Clementine, Teancum: Special Ops B.C. and Confessions of a Redneck Witch Doctor. She was also involved in the editing, publishing, and promotion of her dad’s book, Whirlwind on the Outlaw Trail, by Dale B. Weston. Her strength as a writer is the ability to create identifiable characters; characters which live and breathe, springing to life with every turning page. “My genuine love for people fuels my desire to create more of the same, I suppose,” Saxton says. “And it thrills me when readers get caught up in the lives and destinies of these characters; laughing with them, crying for them, wanting more.” Saxton strives to share virtue and hope through the written word while conquering pious, self-righteous attitudes. “Surely there is a balance between the two; can we not strengthen one another, encourage and support, without levying judgments on one another? I am determined to do that.” |
